We are in need of volunteers at our Los Angeles Students of the Year Grand Finale Gala on Friday, March 10th at the Taglyan Complex, 1201 Vine Street, Los Angeles 90038.
On the 10th, nearly 300 guests will gather to honor the 13 Candidates Team who have spent 7 weeks competing for the title of Students of the Year by fundraising on behalf our amazing Honored Hero, Eva Hooten.
The Students of the Year campaign raises vital funds for cancer research. Since its inception in 1949, LLS has invested more than $1 billion in research to find the cause and cure for blood cancers. This research has led to groundbreaking treatments - such as chemotherapy, radiation, stem cell transplantation and most recently, immunotherapy - that are vital to treating blood cancers and many other forms of cancer. This past year, in Southern California alone, LLS has invested over $8,000,000 in research grants.

Mission Statement
The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We work tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the lifesaving treatments they need. When someone experiences the fear and uncertainty of a blood cancer diagnosis, we provide hope, compassion, education and support. Our impact is felt beyond blood cancer. The breakthrough treatments we helped advance for blood cancers are now improving the lives of people affected by many types of cancer.
