ORGANIZATION: Rescuing Leftover Cuisine Inc

This opportunity is available every Monday-Friday night!

Excess bread can be used to feed the hungry at a nearby food pantry rather than being thrown out. Help us walk with the food that would have been wasted! We will get bags of bread and walk for this thirty minute event, and will finish at the Jan Hus Church at 351 E 74th Street.
Medium Weight: the average total amount of food is 20 lbs. Split between two people, each person will only carry 10 lbs.

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) is a nonprofit organization committed to fighting food insecurity and preventing wasted food. We have cultivated a network of dedicated food rescuers who bring food directly from our food donors to nonprofit recipients, letting neighbors help neighbors while reaping the environmental and economic benefits of reducing wasted food. Founded in 2013, our simple, but elegant model has saved over 8 million pounds of food since our inception.
