ORGANIZATION: Rescuing Leftover Cuisine Inc

This opportunity is available every Monday-Friday!

Rescue prepared food that would have been wasted by helping us carry ten tins of food to the hungry. This event lasts just 30 minutes, and will end at the NYC Rescue Mission at 90 Lafayette (Lafayette and White Street).

Medium weight: the average amount of food is 30 pounds. Split between three people, each person will only carry an average of about 10 lbs if no one cancels last minute.

The mission of RLC is to redistribute excess food to feed people experiencing food insecurity.

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) is a nonprofit organization committed to fighting food insecurity and preventing wasted food. We have cultivated a network of dedicated food rescuers who bring food directly from our food donors to nonprofit recipients, letting neighbors help neighbors while reaping the environmental and economic benefits of reducing wasted food. Founded in 2013, our simple, but elegant model has saved over 8 million pounds of food since our inception.
