Position Title: Volunteer Office Assistant
Purpose: The Volunteer Office Assistant will provide a range of administrative and office support functions to the Georgia Chapter of the National Safety Council (NSC). This position helps to extend the resources within the NSC and the efficient day-to-day operations of the organization while meeting the needs of our members and clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Laminating
- Shredding of documents
- General clerical duties including filing and photocopying
- Other clerical duties as assigned
Time Commitment: One day per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) for three hours (10 a.m. - 1 p.m. or 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.), for a minimum of 3 months.
Qualifications:
- Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to file alphabetically and numerically
- Respect and maintain confidentiality
Benefits and recognition: This position provides valuable non-profit experience by receiving hands-on-training related to working for a non-profit, building and expanding professional and social networks, and the satisfaction of making a difference.
Support: Training for this position will be provided. In addition, the Administrative Assistant will be available for questions and assistance.
