PAWS New England is an all-breed dog rescue group. We rescue abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs from high-kill shelters and desperate situations, provide them with veterinary care and much needed TLC, and bring them to New England where we place them in safe, loving homes. Our organization has saved over 8,500 lives since 2008 and we need your help to rescue even more animals!
PAWS is an all-volunteer based organization meaning everyone from the executive director, to the transport volunteers, to the foster homes are not paid for the extraordinary work that we do. Our team is compromised of highly passionate and talented individuals that do this work in their spare time, most of whom are working full time. Because of significant time restraints, many of the remarkable stories of our work remain untold.
We are seeking a small and committed team of journalists and videographers to help communicate these awe-inspring stories to the world. These stories will be shared on our blog (pawsnewengland.com/news/), social media sites (see our organization's listing for our FB, Twitter, and Instagram link), and local media. This is a great opportunity to use your unique talents to serve your passion for animal welfare.
While the volunteer position does not require a specific number of video productions or articles per month, we would hope that volunteers would be willing to donate 3-5 hours a week. The majority of our work occurs in the Tennessee, Texas, Arkansas, and New England areas, but we can use volunteers from around the country.
