Kitchen Volunteers
Volunteers help organize and stock the pantry

Volunteers are needed to help prepare and set-up for the meals, serve, and assist in the clean-up process. Participating in meal programs is one of the most popular volunteer opportunities.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals or groups of 4-6 people, and is available on the following days and times: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM or 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM. Volunteers will work with and assist the kitchen manager according to their needs. Duties will include cleaning, organizing, and stocking the pantry, serving a meal to our residential clients, and helping to clean the kitchen afterwards.

Description

Since 1899, Boston Rescue Mission, a not for profit Christian organization, has been helping homeless and poverty-stricken people pursue their dreams of a better life. The mission operates Kingston House, one of Boston's oldest continuoulsy running homeless shelters and residential rehabiliation programs. Located in the heart of the Financial District, we provide meals, clothing, training, and service for as many as 200 visitors a day, with capacity to serve as many as 175 overnight guests.
