Sponsorship Coordinator for 30th Annual Gala

Helping Link/Một Dấu Nối is looking for a motivated, personable volunteer to serve as the Sponsorship Coordinator leading up to our 30 th Annual Gala this September. Sponsorships, both corporate and individual, are one of the major reasons our event is so successful and this is an excellent opportunity to build relationships with various community organizations. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in volunteer management and community relations-even if you don’t have a lot of experience.

Responsibilities

• Send letters and make phone calls to local businesses on Helping Link’s behalf.
• Secure 3-5 companies to sponsor our Gala.
• Work with other event committee volunteers and fill in where needed

Qualifications

• Ability to skillfully handle people in-person and on the phone for positive outcomes.
• Possess strong written communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, with working knowledge and basic competencies with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in a team and lead volunteers.
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to multi-task and manage time wisely.

• Fun-loving and enthusiastic attitude.
• Function as a cooperative member of a team

We provide English language and computer education classes for adults and seniors, afterschool tutoring and summer classes for youth, job-site language training, information and referral services for our most vulnerable and cultural events for the community.
