Volunteering with the Well Being Center and Survivors of Torture Programs, you can assist clients with building a more stable life for themselves and their families. Clients can be newly arrived refugees, asylum seekers, or other immigrants who experienced torture overseas that affects them physically and emotionally in their adjustment here in the US. You can help through a myriad of ways: providing bus training, getting a library card, making resumes or applying for jobs; simple tasks can make a huge difference with helping our clients achieve self-sufficiency. Some data entry into the case note database may also be required, depending on the activity.
4+ hours/week between Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm
