Overview

SOAR Fox Cities is seeking volunteers for our adult social, recreational and respite program.

Activities include arts and crafts, walking, gardening, games, movie nights, bowling, dances and much more! Through these activities, SOAR participants develop self-esteem, social skills and healthy lifestyles.

Times and dates vary and include afternoons, evenings and weekends and volunteers set their own schedule based on their availability. Most activities are one to three hours in length.

Responsibilities

As a volunteer, you will be a part of our mission to empower people with differing abilities!

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• setting up for activities

• assisting the program coordinator

• serving refreshments

• socializing with and guiding participants through activities

• cleaning up

Qualifications

• Enjoy working with people with a range of abilities

• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is helpful

• Background check and reference check required
