Although more recently partnered with the Regional Food Bank as one of its Food & Resource centers, the Skyline pantry has been fighting hunger in Oklahoma City for decades as a mission of local United Methodist Churches. Designed to help return dignity/health to the lives of patrons, the FRC offers client choice, fresh produce, and is open six days a week to ensure there are more opportunities to receive groceries.
The bagger position in the FRC involves answering patron's questions while they're picking out foods, occasionally helping stock, and bagging their groceries once they're ready to leave. Bilingual volunteers are appreciated!
The hours of the FRC vary to give greater access to patrons with different schedules or transportation. Volunteers can participate before or after these shifts as well, because there may be items to stock or the area might need to be cleaned, etc.
Mondays 1 PM - 6 PM
Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:30 AM - 2 PM
Wednesdays 1 PM - 4 PM
Fridays 9 AM - Noon
Saturdays 9 AM - 11 AM

Skyline has served the OKC community for over 40 years. Our agency is a mission of the United Methodist Church which offers different services for at-risk & under-served adults, youth and children. In addition to the Food Resource Center, Skyline is home to several other programs meant to assist those struggling with poverty. The ultimate goal is to restore dignity to the lives of patrons, end stereotypes, and foster a new era of compassion and respect for those living on the margins.
