Volunteers spend a few hours each week with a resident of the Health Care Center providing companionship through friendly visits. Time may be spent playing memory games, sitting on the patio talking or taking a walk around the center. The residents participating in this program all suffer from challenging memory deficits and are especially lonely in the evening hours. For some residents it's during this time of day that they crave interaction and "an old friend" to spend time with. Being a Senior Companion requires patience and a friendly encouraging attitude.
Shifts run 5:30-9:00 PM every day of the week.

Located on the Zarrow Campus, Tulsa Jewish Center provides a continiuum of care setting, (independent and assisted living apartments, a health care center (nursing home) and an educational building.) Our campus is open to any adult seeking services.
