Project Linus of East TN is looking for volunteers (individuals or groups) to make blankets for children in traumatic situations. More info about drop off locations, organizations we serve, and blanket sizes and specifications is on the website. We also are in need of donations of fabric and yarn for our volunteers to use to make blankets.

First: Provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers." Second: Provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
Description
Project Linus of East TN is a chapter of the national Project Linus organizations. We provide handmade blankets to organizations that serve children in traumatic situations such as local hospitals, domestic violence and homeless shelters, Child Advocacy Centers, and more. We serve the greater Knoxville/East Tennessee area.
