National Volunteer Week 2021 Is Here!
Celebrate with us as we highlight #ArtAsActivism!
We are looking for volunteers to help with basic chores needed to maintain our SIX (6) properties in the Cincinnati area where we house individuals in our transitional housing program. These are houses and apartment buildings.
Typical examples of chores are: replacing a door and frame, installing a light fixture, replacing a window, spackling a hole in the drywall or ceiling- then, sanding it down, and painting it, replacing furnace filters, replacing batteries in a smoke detector or CO2 detector, fixing a leaky faucet, replacing a toilet, climbing a ladder to replace light fixtures outside, replacing roof shingles, doing minor carpentry work to repair a wall, installing new electrical outlets, etc.
The above tasks are meant to be basic maintenance chores that most homeowners already know how to do.
You would not be asked to perform every task. Our goal is to have a TEAM of maintenance volunteers. so that we can disperse the various tasks across the team on an as-needed basis.
