Are you looking for a way to help your community this summer while gaining Community Service hours for school? San Jos? Public Library is looking for energetic and fun-loving teen volunteers aged 15 years or over (or 13 or over if a member of teensReach) to help with our Summer Reading Challenge. Volunteers are needed to explain how the Summer Reading Challenge works, register children for the program and to award prizes. Help promote library activities and events during this year’s summer reading program.

Description
Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
