ORGANIZATION: Experience Corps Bay Area

Experience Corps volunteer with student

Experience Corps Bay Area is looking for caring older adults interested in making a difference in the lives of young students in public schools in Oakland, South San Francisco, Daly City and Atherton.

Volunteers are matched one-on-one or work with small groups of children, with a focus on literacy in grades K-3. These kids get the individualized attention they deserve and need to excel, and you get to stay active and contribute your time in a meaningful and impactful way - a great win-win!

We provide 9 hours of classroom training, on-site staff at each school to support you along the way, and we bring our teams together for peer-to-peer support and connection throughout the year.

You can serve as little as 4 hours/week, or 10 hours/week to become eligible for a paid stipend.
