Discover how YOU can make a measurable impact in the life of a child.
EXPERIENCE CORPS BAY AREA is a time-tested, innovative, inter-generational tutoring and mentoring program that has been serving local schools and students since 1998. Our volunteers are all over the age of 50 and help students in grades K-3 gain the reading skills needed to succeed in school. No previous teaching or classroom experience is required as we provide all volunteers with the background and training needed to succeed.
We are currently recruiting new members to make a difference in the lives of Redwood City students at Selby Lane Elementary, our first school partner in San Mateo County. Our volunteers will be working with small groups (3-4 students) to help them build their reading skills.
Monthly stipends are available to members serving a minimum of 10 hours a week.
Come be part of this exciting growth into the South Bay and become a part of the team that is actively supporting Selby Lane Elementary and its students.
Call (415) 759-4223, email ecba.today@gmail.com, or respond to this posting to learn more and apply to join the Experience Corps team.
