Responsibilities:


  • Managing code and changes in a team environment to include experience with source control utilities, such as Team Foundation Server

  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot and debug new and existing code

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members

  • Prototype, evaluate and recommend technology designs

  • Promote adoption of standards and process across development activities including documentation, testing, version control, and code review

  • Ability to provide estimations and meet deliverables in a timely manner

  • Work comfortably in a Linux or UNIX-like interactive shell environment

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience with Squarespace Developer platform

  • Strong HTML, HTML5, CSS, PHP and SQL experience

  • Good knowledge of Salesforce administration and integration

  • Google Analytics & Tag Manager, Marketing Platform Implementation (ActiveDemand, Hubspot, Marketo).

  • An ideal candidate should have previous experience as a Squarespace developer using Squarespace developer platform. Should be well versed in API integration into the squarespace platform as well as basic design, UI/UX experience and the ability to ensure all marketing and tracking tools are integrated across channels and properties.

  • Minimum 5 years software engineer/developer experience in a structured software development environment

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, object-oriented design and C#, WinForms or WPF development.

  • Strong SQL and relational database experience.

  • Experience as senior software engineer/developer role a plus

  • Proven knowledge of .Net framework, WPF, MVVM, XAML.

  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and up, and Microsoft SQL Reporting

  • Microsoft programming technologies including .NET, WinForms, Visual Studio and WPF Understand architectural patterns and design

  • Write C#, WinForms or WPF and SQL code to implement specified classes and database access methods.

  • Implementing and consuming Web Services using [[http: ASP.Net|ASP.Net ]]

  • A solid understanding of the .NET framework

Description

Rare Genomics Institute (RGI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping rare disease
patients find a diagnosis, treatment, and pathway to a cure. Through personalized research
projects, RGI provides access to world leading medical institutions and scientists to conduct
genomic sequencing, coordinates with clinicians and counselors to interpret findings, and offers an
online crowd-funding platform to deliver financial solutions. RGI also supports rare disease
advocacy by fostering an online community of rare disease patients and supporting rare disease
research through a yearly grant competition.

Since being founded in 2011, RGI has completed over 300 genetic sequencing and analysis
projects, assisted patients fund over $3.5 million worth of genomic sequencing, discovered 8
unique genetic mutations in-house, given over $2 million dollars in grants to researchers on rare
disease, and developed an online community with over 10,000 rare disease members.
Through volunteers, RGI is able to slowly push science and health care forward to meet the needs
