Make a difference in the lives of first generation/low-income college bound students in Western Massachusetts. Tutor, mentor, assist with college applications, events, college trips, cultural trips, and many projects that help us increase our capacity. Serve on a dynamic team of professionals and learn many skills that will position you for a wide range of careers or graduate programs. These are stipended/benefitted service positions that are great for recent college graduates who may be interested in possible careers in education, social justice, counseling, or administration. The Upward Bound Program at NMH is a federally funded TRIO program designed to provide low-income students with the skills and motivation they need to succeed in high school and in college.
Description
NMH Upward Bound is a college preparation program for low-income and first generation high school students in Western Mass. The program is federally funded and it helps underrepresented youth prepare for and gain access to higher education. The Summer Academy is an intensive, residential, academic program on the Northfield Mount Hermon Campus in Western Massachusetts. The program is an academic and social preparation program which uses a social justice framework.
