Duties include the following:
¨ Develop, promote, and maintain a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the organization.
¨ Survey CEO and Special Events Coordinator regularly to assess needs for volunteer assistance.
¨ Devise innovative volunteer recruiting methods.
¨ Publicize volunteer opportunities to the community.
¨ Recruit, interview and place applicants for volunteer positions.
¨ Maintain volunteer job descriptions for each volunteer.
¨ Ensure volunteers are staffed to support the various areas of operation including special events.
¨ Recommend the most efficient use of volunteers and future workforce needs to support volunteer program operations.
¨ Develop and manage volunteer applications, policies, procedures, training and standards of volunteer services.
¨ Conduct volunteer orientation and training.
¨ Organize and participate in annual volunteer events and recognition programs and special volunteer events.
¨ Evaluate all aspects of the volunteer program to ensure effectiveness and to recommend/implement changes if/as appropriate.
¨ Maintain accurate records and provide timely statistical and activity reports on volunteer participation, as well as monthly reports for CEO and Board.
¨ Host and attend recruiting events within the community to attract qualified candidates.
¨ Develop and maintain relationships with other volunteer organizations within the area.
¨ Provide ongoing support and guidance for volunteers and act as a single point of contact for communications.
¨ Confer with volunteers to resolve grievances and promote cooperation and interest.

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) Dog Rescue with a small but mighty team of volunteers who go to extraordinary lengths each and every day to:
- Save dogs who are scheduled to be euthanized
- Find adoptive homes for abused and discarded dogs including seniors, pregnant dogs and their pups
- Match discarded senior dogs to Senior Citizens who are independent, live alone plus long for companionship
- Match the right canines to PTSD adults and autistic children who need service dogs
- Promote and advance our inmate/dog Prison Rehabilitation Program (L.E.C. Conneaut Prison)
- Provide food and supplies to low income families (McKinley Outreach Center)
- Assist Women Safe, a battered women's shelter, to protect both the women and their pets
