Duties include the following:
¨ Work closely with the CEO and Board to identify:
Both immediate-, short- and long-term donation needs which will be in the form of gifts, funding and dog supplies.
Potential donors (individuals and organizations.)
¨ Ensure that every donor enjoys an excellent philanthropic experience when contributing to 911 Dog Rescue, Inc.
¨ Research, schedule and conduct in-person donor visits to:
Initially develop positive and purposeful relationships with planned givers, major donors, existing and new prospects (individuals and organizations.)
Secure then turn over donor gifts, funding and dog supplies to CEO.
¨ Interact with donors on the telephone or in person on a regular basis, answering their questions about the organization plus creating deeper relationships with the donors to ensure ongoing giving.
¨ Participate in the planning, management and sponsorship of all fund raising events to attract qualified donors.
¨ Participate in all other special events with a focus on engaging gift, funding and dog supplies donors and prospects.
¨ Process donor acknowledgement letters and tax statements.
¨ Maintain accurate records and provide timely statistical and activity reports on donor participation, as well as monthly reports for CEO and Board.
¨ Evaluate all aspects of the donor program to ensure effectiveness and to recommend/implement changes if/as appropriate.

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) Dog Rescue with a small but mighty team of volunteers who go to extraordinary lengths each and every day to:
- Save dogs who are scheduled to be euthanized
- Find adoptive homes for abused and discarded dogs including seniors, pregnant dogs and their pups
- Match discarded senior dogs to Senior Citizens who are independent, live alone plus long for companionship
- Match the right canines to PTSD adults and autistic children who need service dogs
- Promote and advance our inmate/dog Prison Rehabilitation Program (L.E.C. Conneaut Prison)
- Provide food and supplies to low income families (McKinley Outreach Center)
- Assist Women Safe, a battered women's shelter, to protect both the women and their pets
