We here at the Ecology Center believe that the central question of our time is how human beings are going to thrive in the world without destroying the earth's ability to sustain us. In the face of enormous environmental challenges, virtually all sectors of our society are now scrambling to create solutions, and the Ecology Center plays a critical role in advancing the best models.
As a part of our Environmental Education team, y ou will have a chance to enrich a child’s relationship to the natural world and instill a sense of stewardship in the next generation.
As we expand our educational programs into more and more cities across Michigan, we are looking for volunteers to help us deliver programs focusing on everything from waste management to soil science to the chemistry behind every day products. Volunteers must have a passion for the environment, a willingness to learn more aboutthese critically important issues, and a sincere desire to spread this information to the next generation.
"In the end we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand and we will understand only what we are taught"-Babe Dioum
