Primary Duties: Volunteer responsible for phone coverage for night shifts, receive phone calls from Minneapolis Police officers and immediately follow-up to victims by phone to offer information and support.
- Evening and night shifts, available weekends- Flexible!
- Training provided
- Minimum four shifts/month and 6 month commitment
Experience: Basic verbal and written communication and computer skills required.
Minimum commitment of one shift per week for six months.
Interest in stopping domestic violence, helping people, and working hard for a safer community a must.
Previous experience with crisis calls, counseling or advocacy preferred.
Additional Info: This is an unpaid position.
