The Center for Amazon Community Ecology promotes forest conservation in the Peruvian Amazon by helping native artisans to develop and market innovative handicrafts in the U.S. We are developing an online store to offer these crafts to people throughout the US and the world. We need several people to help us write short descriptions of the products to maximize their exposure in search engines and full descriptions to help sell the products from our site. CACE is a member of the Fair Trade Federation.

We are ideally looking for people who have experience writing copy and SEO tasks for ecommerce sites with an interest in fair trade, fashion, hand-made products, native culture, and forest conservation. It would be ideal if you could see the products first-hand at our office in State College, PA or one of the festivals where we will be selling crafts this summer. We would also, however, be able to work with an experienced person online by sharing photos of the products. You would be able to do this work on your own schedule.
