The Columbia Slough Watershed Council presents its annual Explorando el Columbia Slough, a bilingual nature festival with fun for the whole family! Guests enjoy guided canoe rides, music and dance, storytelling, community groups, nature crafts and more. Volunteers help manage all aspects of this event - their participation is essential to our success!
Do I have to speak Spanish to participate?
Nope! Those with little to no Spanish are still welcome to volunteer, we can pair you up with someone who speaks Spanish!
What’s it like to volunteer?
Volunteers help manage festival set up, registration, canoe rides, arts and face painting, parking, gardening, registration, food and drink and more! Lunch is provided for all volunteers!

El Columbia Slough Watershed Council presenta su festival anual Explorando el Columbia Slough, lo cual es un evento bilingüe y divertido para toda la familia. Los invitados disfrutarán de paseos guiados en canoa, música y danza, cuentos, grupos comunitarios, una roca para escalar, manualidades y mucho más. Los voluntarios ayudarán manejar todos los aspectos del evento- su participación será esencial para el triunfo del evento.
¿Necesito hablar Ingles para participar?
No necesariamente. ¡No te preocupes si no hablas ingles, estarás al lado de alguien que lo pueda hablar!
¿Cómo será ser voluntario?
El Columbia Slough Watershed Council te invita a celebrar, por decimoquinto año consecutivo, su evento anual ¡Explorando El Columbia Slough! Celebra con la comunidad un día en el Slough y admira los pájaros y bella naturaleza local. Voluntarios ayudarán con la organización previa del festival y con la registración., manualidades y actividades como pintar caras, jardinería, y viajes en canoas. Todos los voluntarios recibiran un delicioso almuerzo.

The Columbia Slough Watershed Council brings community members together to enhance the hidden gem we call the Columbia Slough. We improve water quality, heal damaged fish and wildlife habitat, increase public awareness, and advocate for a healthy watershed. Everything we do is possible thanks to the commitment of community members and engagement of local agencies and businesses.
