Are you a signer or musician? Do you play guitar or another instrument? Can you do Magic? Do you enjoy hanging out with local youths and entertaining them with your talent?

Well we could really use your help! We run summer meal sites in NE Seattle and SE Shoreline areas. The sites provide a free lunch for families and youth in addition to activities and games to keep positive summer fun alive!

We are looking for talented individuals who would be willing to provide fun, youth-friendly entertainment at our sites. This could be a magic show/magic lessons, art classes, acobatic displays, dance lessons, live music, or anything else you can think of. We are looking for talented volunteers who are willing to share their passion!!

The sites are open everyweek day from 12-1, with entertainment/activities from 12:15- 1:15 or so. This could be a weekly committment or a one-time event depending on your interests!

Mission Statement

The mission of Hunger Intervention Program (HIP) is to increase food security for underserved populations in north King County through nutritious meals, educational programs, and advocacy.

Description

HIP’s programs bring nutrition education to local families and vital meals to neighbors in need through our Summer Meals for Kids, Afterschool Snack, Shelter Meals, and Senior Meals programs. Our Healthy HIP Packs program also provides vital weekend food support to children at risk of hunger when they are out of school. HIP is actively engaged with many local, statewide, and national coalitions of food justice organizations to advocate for policy level changes to address hunger.
