Vigil Volunteers Are Needed At Heartland Hospice

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Heartland Hospice

  • 6 people are interested

Heartland Hospice Vigil Volunteer program provides volunteers with patients during the final hours and gives support to family members who need a break from the bedside of the loved one during the dying process. As a vigil volunteer you may read comforting poems or prayers, listen to soothing music, or just sit quietly holding the patient's hand. During the course of a vigil it is important to remember that the focus is to be present with the patient. If you would like to give your support to the families of Heartland Hospice in this special way please contact Emmy Baustian Volunteer Coordinator.
