Patient care volunteers support the patient and/or their family in a variety of ways, including but not limited to the following:
- Serve as a companion to the patient (chit chatting, playing cards, watching movies, reading together, doing arts & crafts, etc.)
- Provide caregiver relief for the patient's caregiver so they are able to take a break and take some time for themselves.
- Provide light housekeeping, lawn care, snow removal, grocery shopping or errands.
- Provide licensed services including massage therapy, haircuts, photography, and more.
- Share your musical talents with patients either as one-one-one visits or larger performances for care facilities.
- Share your artistic abilities with patients by doing one-on-one art projects or by leading group activities at a residential facility.
