We are looking for monetary donations as well as physical volunteers to assist with the rehabilitation of the properties.
For the Superior Avenue Project, we will need volunteers to assist with the planting of the vegetation for the green space patio area. Also needed will be manpower to assist with the scraping of floors where the previous flooring was removed in preparation of laying the new floors, painting walls, cleaning windows, removing old bathroom items (toilets, sinks, tubs/showers), etc. We are also looking for volunteers to assist with prepping the donations for the retail thrift store that will be located on the main floor of the building.
For the Butts Avenue project, we will need physical volunteers for the clean up and beautification of the properties.

The Veterans Assistance Foundation (VAF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation established in 1994 to identify and address the issues faced by Veterans and low income persons who are homeless or at risk of homelessness throughout our communities.
Description
The Veterans Assistance Foundation, Inc. (VAF) is a 501(c)(3) organization established in 1994 to operate Homeless Veteran's programs throughout Wisconsin. VAF has since diversified into also assisting low income persons with an emphasis on assisting Veterans. We operate Grant and Per Diem (GPD) programs in Tomah and Madison which allow us to assist eligible Veterans with case management and a place to live for up to two years while participating in the program. We operate the Supportive Services For Veteran Families (SSVF) grant that allows us to assist eligible low income Veteran Families with case management and time limited financial assistance. We have permanent housing in Tomah that is offered to lower income individuals with an emphasis on assisting low income Veterans.
