Description

Hospice volunteers are the heart of a hospice program as people generously share their time, energy, and compassion with others at the most vulnerable time of their lives.

Volunteers provide assistance to patients and family caregivers. Tasks vary and may include sitting quietly with the patient or engaging in converation, reading aloud, reminiscing, crafting a photo album or scrapbook, transporting a family member for visits or errands, playing an instrument, reiki healing, light meal preparation, and many other possibilities to profide a comforting presence.

Volunteers assist in the hospice office with administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, assisting with projects, mailings, and fundraising.
