Do you love to talk about books? If so, become a Dial-A-Book-Club volunteer!
Once each month, you discuss a book with a small group over the phone. With provided prompts, you keep the conversation flowing, discussing characters, plots and overall opinions about the book. Then, you assist the group in choosing books for future meetings. Groups form based on reading tastes and volunteers can be matched accordingly.
Dial A Book Club helps bring the joy of book discussion to all readers, without the requirement of leaving the home. You will facilitate the discussion from the Library 2 You office, located at the Lakewood Library.
Time required: 2 hours per month (1 hour phone discussion and 1 hour or less reminder calls and prep); morning and afternoon times available.
Minimal computer proficiency required; training provided.
Background check required.
