CARE Rescue is located in eastern Henrico County. We rescue dogs facing euthanasia in animal shelters and provide them with a temporary home until we find a loving forever home. The dogs need love, attention and exercise, which is where you come in. We have several dogs of various sizes that are waiting for you to walk them, play with them and give them some love and attention. Requires as little as two hours a month but you can help as many hours as you want. Evening walkers needed, start time is flexible. We require volunteers to commit to walking dogs least once a month.

Capital Area Rescue Effort, Inc. (C.A.R.E.) was founded in 2011 in the Richmond, VA area. C.A.R.E. primarily rescues dogs in danger of euthanasia from municipal animal shelters.
