Tech Goes Home (TGH) is looking for Cape Verdean and Haitian Creole speakers to provide translations for participants who speak the aforementioned languages. Additionally, volunteers will help participants (mainly adults and new-technology users) to understand basic Internet/computer concepts and to use online resources that can enhance their quality of life!
Many of the resources covered in our classes are: Google apps, BOS 311, Commonsense Media, Youtube and more!

Tech Goes Home's mission is to bridge the digital divide so that low-income, under-served populations in US cities have full access to technology and the Internet.
Description
The Tech Goes Home (TGH) program is a 12-year-old, national award winning initiative that has successfully provided residents the tools, education and access required for 21st-century skills development. Through partnerships with schools and community institutions, participants develop skills and habits required for smart technology and Internet use. Enrollees receive ?fteen hours of classroom training, a new netbook or mobile device (for $50 co-pay), and, for eligible residents, access to low-cost home Internet.
