Cruzin' to Colby!
Come join the fun!

The 20th annual Cruzin to Colby Car Show is on Memorial Day weekend, May 26th and 27th! This family friendly event is a great show in downtown Everett with a cruise, car show, live music, and lots of vendors. It is also a great volunteer opportunity to help Hospice Carousel program. Hospice Carousel provides support to local children on Hospice, along with professional and volunteer support to their siblings and parents.

As a benefitting charity, our commitment to the show is to secure the volunteers for each day of the show. We need a total of 20 volunteers for each day of the show (Sunday and Monday). The duty as a volunteer is to monitor a barricaded street corner and ensure that no one drives in to the show. In short, it’s an orange vest (provided), a lawn chair, a cooler and some fun friends, co-workers or family members!

We have many shifts that we need volunteers for:

Sunday, May 27th, 11:30 am - 2:30 pm

Sunday, May 27th, 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Monday, May 28th, 6:00 am - 10:00 am

Monday, May 28th 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Monday, May 28th, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

As we get closer to the event, I will send out a detailed volunteer instructions email.

For more information about the show, to register if you have a car you want in the show, or to sponsor the event if you, or someone you know, are interested in sponsoring, please call please contact the Providence Hospice and Home Care Foundation at 425-261-4822 or visit us at https://cruzin2colby.com/.

About Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County

Location:

1615 75th St SW, Everett, WA 98203, US

Mission Statement

As expressions of God’s healing love, witnessed through the ministry of Jesus, we are steadfast in serving all, especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

Description

Volunteers with Providence Hospice and HomeCare of Snohomish County help provide emotional and practical support to those who are facing a terminal illness. We serve patients and families throughout Snohomish county, wherever they may call home (private residence, nursing facility, adult family home, etc.) Volunteers can serve in their own community. Volunteers may help by providing companionship for patients, respite for caregivers, transportation to appointments, assistance with errands such as grocery shopping, and much more. Complementary Therapists also provide massage therapy, music therapy, animal-assisted interactions, meditation, and other modalities to provide comfort to patients. Volunteers also provide support to our bereaved family members through one-on-one listening support, co-facilitating a children, teens or adult grief group, or as a volunteer at Camp Erin (an overnight, weekend camp for children and teens who have lost a loved one). In addition, volunteers help support our mission through administrative work in our offices.
