About

There are different ways that you can volunteer at Exceptional Care for Children...

Resident Play Date Volunteers visit to serve as positive companions and to play with the children in the Play, Classroom, or Living Room setting. Activities could include reading, puzzles, blocks, dolls/action figures, arts and crafts, watching tv/movies, dress-up.

Volunteers are free to visit between 10:00am and 8:00pm any day of the week (including weekends).

Mentor Volunteers visit to serve as a buddy to a specific child, who does not receive regular visitors. Mentor volunteers serve as positive companions and may at times be invited to accompany the child to special ECC events. This volunteer role requires a consistant schedule.

Volunteers are free to visit between 10:00am and 8:00pm any day of the week (including weekends)

Activity & Entertainment Volunteers visit to lead an activity with a group of ECC children. Activities can range from arts and crafts, nature activities, music & movement, musical entertainment, pajama story time, etc. The possibilities are endless!

Volunteers are free to visit Monday-Friday 6:00pm-8:00pm or Saturday/Sunday 10:00am-8:00pm.

Front Desk Volunteers assist ECC by answering the phone & opening the doors to visitors. This is a quarterly commitment (with exceptions for illness, vacation, occasional need to be off).

Volunteers visit on designated day(s) of the week Monday-Friday 5:30PM-7:30PM.
