During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Are you a Veteran who would like to offer support to a fellow Veteran who is experiencing a life-limiting illness? Currently, 1 in every 4 patients on hospice are Veterans. As a hospice volunteer, you can offer invaluable support and camaraderie to Veterans in your community.
As a Veteran hospice volunteer, you have the opportunity to provide emotional support, facilitate life and military history review, or offer respite care for a caregiver. By volunteering just 2 hrs a week, you have the opportunity to bring peace and healing to a fellow Veteran.
Volunteer visits occur at various care locations throughout the Portland Metro area, including private homes or care facilities. You can also participate in ceremonies to honor our Veteran patients.
