The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) in Long Beach is looking for volunteers to aid in couseling services and education for their clients recovering from drug and alcohol abuse.
An ideal canadate for this volunteer position would be retired professionals or masters level interns working in the following (or similar) fields: mental health counseling, therapy, social work, AOD counseling.
ARCs comprise the largest residential rehabilitation program in the United States five of which are located in Southern California. Locations include Anaheim, Canoga Park, Long Beach, Pasadena, and Santa Monica. ARC’s are free to the public and financed through our Salvation Army Family Thrift Stores.
