Help seniors in the community maintain their homes and avoid costly fines
Description : This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors in the community. During the warmer months, we work with our team of volunteers to provide lawn care services to seniors in Dayton’s Bluff and Payne Phalen. Maintained lawns not only keep homes looking attractive, they also help seniors avoid fines from the city for overgrown strips of grass near the sidewalk. If you have a lawnmower and/or truck to transport the mower, you can make a huge difference in the life of a senior!
About Us : East Side Elders helps our seniors live full and rewarding lives - in the home and community they want - for as long as possible and as healthy and well as possible. Our teams of volunteers, students and community members provide a wide range of services and activities that give the necessary support and resources to our elderly neighbors wherever they call home.
Hours: Flexible.
Commitment: This can be a one-time volunteer opportunity or ongoing task, depending on the interest and availability of volunteers.
Qualifications:
Must pass a background check
Able to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds in a caring, courteous manner
Benefits:
Gain experience working with seniors and people dedicated to helping seniors
Make a difference in the lives of seniors in the community
