Do you have a musical tallent? Do you have a passion for serving older adults?
Avery Place has an amazing opportunity for YOU!
Avery Place is a new community, dedicated to providing quality care and engagement to a group of individuals with Alzheimer’s or other dementias. As we are developing our activities program, we are also looking to increase our volunteer program, specifically with a focus on music. The portion of the brain which registers rhythm is the last portion that is effected by Alzheimer’s. Music is an integral part of the mental health and well-being of individuals with dementia.
We would love to have any opportunities to add music into our days, whether that be singing, piano, guitar, or any others!
