ORGANIZATION: Compaid

We are looking for volunteers to support disabled people in discovering the magic of computers in a relaxed and informal way. This may include quizzes and puzzles, researching ancestry, being creative with specialist art software and using the internet.

Applicants need to be computer literate with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes or similar software, and also have the willingness to learn new computer programmes such as Corel Draw. They must be able to work as a member of a team and on a one-to-one basis and to have excellent communication skillls.

This opportunity is for minimum of 1 session a week - sessions are Mon - Fri 9.45am - 12.15pm or 12.45pm - 3.15pm.

Full training is given and local travel expenses are reimbursed.

Since 1986 Compaid has provided support to disabled people in and around Kent ensuring they can lead their lives to the full.

Computer skills training is delivered both from our dedicated training centre in Paddock Wood and through outreach into the local communities.

With a fleet of 29 wheelchair accessible minibuses and smaller adapted vehicles, we can provide for any transport need.
