ORGANIZATION: The Children's Cabinet

RTFF Team

The Right Turn Face Forward Program consists of the following:

  • Case Management
  • Development of Individual Career Plan
  • Occupational training
  • Paid workforce activities (up to 17 weeks paid through the grant)
  • Legal assistance for the sealing of juvenile records
  • One-on-one and group mentoring
  • Follow-up services

Eligibility requirements:

  • Youth and young adults ages 14-24
  • Currently or formerly involved with the juvenile justice system
  • Never been convicted as an adult under federal or state law
  • Can provide proof of residence in Washoe County

Right Turn Face Forward is a program that offers youth and young adults between the ages of 14 - 24 involved with the juvenile justice system an opportunity to improve their lives through education and employment. Each participant will learn to development workforce skills through paid employment at local businesses, in addition to obtaining industry-recognized certificates that prepare them for jobs in demand industries.

Description

Family and Youth Interventions

Youth Education & Training includes information about the Nell J. Redfield School of Life and tutoring, volunteer programs and job training, community education, and re-engagement center.

Youth Programs includes information about programs for runaway and homeless youth, foster care youth, gang intervention and prevention programming, drug and alcohol intervention and prevention programming, and more.

Family Programs includes information about case management, family counseling, food pantries, and additional resources.
