Volunteers are needed to visit with residents on a weekly or daily basis. You can come to St. Mary's Home to spend time with Residents, take them out for walks around the area, bring them out to the garden, read to them, play games or just simply listen to them.
Volunteers can transport Residents to and from their rooms, and transport them around the Home.
Volunteers can spend 1-2 hours with our Residents at least once a week
Residents have requested visitors.
Volunteers who enjoy being with the elderly or have relationship building skill are strongly encouraged to consider this opportunity.
Volunteers are asked to complete a volunteer application.
Volunteers will meet with the volunteer coordinator for an orientation and tour of St. Mary's Home.
Volunteers must agree to have 2 TB tests done. The TB tests are at no cost to you. Each TB test must be read by a nurse within 48 hours. The 2nd TB test must be done within 1-3 weeks of the 1st TB test. Again the 2nd TB test must be read within 48 hours of the test.
There is a criminal background check to be done as well at no cost to the volunteer.
