Friends of "R" House ( http://r-house.org/) is a non-profit association located in Mountain View. It was formed to save the historic Rengstorff House, the oldest existing house in Mountain View, now located in Shoreline at Mountain View. The Friends of "R" House conducts educational events and community outreach to promote the awareness of the Rengstorff House, the Rengstorff family, the context of the 19th century, and the history of Mountain View. Friends of "R" House is waiting to welcome new volunteers. We have other ways to get involved - we need people to help chair exhibits and events. Internships are available for the following majors: history, art, anthropology, museum technology, museum studies, and media management. As a Friends of "R" House volunteer, you will not only impact the lives of children, but increase the diversity of our local community.
