AiducateNow, a Bay Area based non-profit, is hosting its fifth Annual Lighting the Way (3K/5K/10K) Race beginning and ending at Oak Meadow Park, Los Gatos, CA on Saturday, July 16th, 2016.
LTW is our biggest fund raiser event, the proceeds from which goes towards lighting up lives of children in the developing countries by giving them access to basic education and healthcare. Past proceeds have provided solar lights in remote villages in West Bengal, India; opened night schools for kids in a tribal village in Andhra Pradesh, India, and have brought toys/school supplies to the kids living in the Bay Area family shelters. These projects in addition to directly helping children continue their education also indirectly helped families nurture a dream and a future through their children. This was only possible through the overwhelming response of our patrons who participated in the LTW run. This year we are hoping to extend our support to more children and we invite you to join us for this noble cause.
We need a lot of helping hands, so please come out for a day to enjoy trail while helping out for a novel cause.
We need volunteers to assist with:
- Registration
- Event Set-Up
- Timing
- Course Monitoring
- Handing Out Food/Water at Rest Stops
- Cleanup after the event
- and numerous other duties!
Don't forget, all volunteers will receive an official MSD Volunteer t-shirt for FREE!
