Do you enjoy talking with people? Do you know Boulder County and enjoy history? We have an opportunity for you. We are looking for people with strong people skills, but no experience in mining history is required. We provide comprehensive training to help you every step of the way.
Volunteer museum guides greet, provide orientation and educate visitors on an informal basis about the rich mining heritage of Boulder County. The museum is open Friday - Sunday, June 1 - October 31, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Volunteers work 3-hour shifts, either 11 - 2, or 2 - 5. We only require one shift per month as a commitment.
You will be working with other staff on days scheduled. We have diverse visitation, with people from around the country and around the world visiting.
The museum is also served by public transit, with the RTD Nederland N Bus going direct from downtown Boulder to the museum.
