Developmental Speech-Language Training Through Music for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders

Earth Rights Institute with iQsonics is creating a family-based computer game to support children with slow language development (Autism, Down Syndrome, etc.) developed from a clinically tested therapeutic methodology. We are in the process of designing and implementing our website and and social media strategies, and need help to do this, seeking interns with substantial experience in these fields. Coding experience is NOT NECESSARY, but may be helpful. Good communication is essential with the ability to digest information from the nonprofit team and translate it into the end product. (The team is made of speech-language pathologists, music therapists, game programmers, music composers/singers, graphic artists, researchers, and marketing, legal and adminstration members.) The ideal candidate would embody a fearlessness in balancing the asking of questions and the independence of taking the reigns. In addition to website design/management with the ability to research pertinant successful models and templates, an ideal candidate would also possess experience building social media with graphics and knowledge of the tech requirements for Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. (At a more advanced stage, we will be including user data analysis, community building and encouraging user generated materials, so experience in these areas could also be helpful.) A passion for music, language, early childhood education, and supporting people with disabilities is a big plus.

Thanks for you consideration!
