At IDEAA , holding events is at the core of our spirit and mission. As a Venue Designer you will work with the team to create fun, supportive, and motivating atmospheres that leave attendees with a fire in their hearts. Your focus on spatial components will help define how participants move, interact, and learn. Collaborating with other designers, your shared perspectives will lead to inspirational events spanning the globe.
When you join us you will:
Work with fellow IDEAA volunteers to execute on-site designs that delight the senses
Collaborate with other designers to fully realize event themes and goals
Use prototyping and feedback to augment event planning and coordination
Travel to deliver your creations first-hand
Qualifications we’re looking for:
4+ years of commercial/freelance event and/or interior design experience
Comfortable working in agile, remote teams and self-policing on project work
Solid creative process with a strong points on research and feedback
Passion over a broad range of creative skills - photography, music, fine art, whatever itches your creative spirit
Bonus: Fascination and/or experience with mobile computing and Android
Your contribution will:
Create opportunities for underserved communities around the world
Inspire developers of all skill levels and backgrounds to create
Be seen by thousands of attendees, thought leaders, noted speakers, and household brands

Description
IDEAA is a nonprofit organization made up of passionate designers, developers, enthusiasts, and volunteers. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to explore the digitally-built world we now live in. IDEAA's grassroots history means our team works and shares its purpose with a unique excitement and dedication.
Software development is an excellent way to improve critical thinking and creativity. IDEAA hosts a wide variety of exciting and educational developer events in areas often skipped by more traditional tech conferences. Our events feature content for every proficiency level and encourage attendees to work with each other in an informal and fun setting.
