Docent Opportunity

The Hammond-Harwood House in downtown Annapolis is looking for docents to serve as guides at our 18 th & 19 th century decorative arts house museum. The museum has an exemplary collection of fine and decorative arts including 21 pieces of John Shaw furniture and 16 Peale family paintings. This national treasure also features some of the nation’s premier architecture of the colonial period.

Guides are expected to work at least three 5 hour shifts per month. This a wonderful opportunity for interested individuals to share their love of history and decorative arts with the public.

Docent training is held in May. May 4 th 2 to 4:30pm, May 18 th 2 to 4:30pm, and May 25 th 2 to 4:30pm. If interested please e-mail our Curator, Rachel Lovett, at Rachel@hammondharwoodhouse.org
