Are you a warm, caring individual with a few hours to spare? Our volunteers set their own time commitments based upon their availability.
Volunteers are an integral part of our philosophy. Hospice volunteers are there to hold a hand, listen, read, write a letter, run errands or help out in the office. Volunteers are there to step inwhen a family member needs a break, and they are there for the family and friends after a loved one passed away.
NO MATTER WHAT YOUR SKILLS, TALENTS OR MOTIVATION, WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU!
- Patient Visit Volunteers: Proved friendly visits to hospice patients in healthcare facilites or in their own homes, to provide companionship, emotional support and socialization to both the patient and their family.
- Bereavement Volunteers: Provide support to families through phone calls, mailings and visits - SOME TASKS CAN BE DONE IN YOUR OWN HOME.
- Tuck-In Volunteers: Make weekly supportive phone calls to patients and families. THIS CAN BE DONE IN OUR OFFICE OR YOUR OWN HOME.
- Pet Therapy Volunteers: Provide caring visits to patients with their registerd therapy animal.
- Specialty Volunteers: Provide supprot through music, arts & crafts, life review video, vigil and spiritual support.
OUR VOLUNTEERS SHOOSE WHEN, WHERE AND HOW THEY SHARE THEIR TIME, TALENTS AND HEART.
