For the first time in history, we are faced with the fact that we have all of the resources that are necessary to end the worst aspects of global poverty. There is no reason for any child to die from hunger or miss out on their opportunity to go to school.What is lacking is the political will to make this vision a reality. RESULTS offers hope and the possibility for ordinary citizens to make a difference. Our volunteers worked last year to ensure that 300 million children will have access to lifesaving vaccines which will save over 5 million lives. Your passion for global justice can help us continue this powerful global poverty advocacy in 2016.
We are launching a new advocacy chapter in Bismarck! Our group will meet twice a month, listen in on our monthly national conference call, and strategize how to inspire our members of Congress to make good decisions for the end of global poverty by promoting education, health, and economic opportunity. Our activists and chapters create change by meeting with their members of Congress, educating their communities, and generating media coverage.
Never advocated for something before? That’s ok! We’ll teach you how to be a powerful advocate and help you develop an understanding of the issues. This is an opportunity to create real change and to be on the front lines of the fight against global poverty. The skills you will learn as a volunteer will not only help you become a powerful agent for change, but will also help you in your daily life to become a better speaker, writer, and informed citizen. There is no cost to you, just a commitment of 3-5 hours a month with continuous training and support from RESULTS staff.
Together, we can make sure that all children have the chance to be healthy, go to school, and grow into successful adults. We prove that ordinary people can create extraordinary change. Be a part of the change you wish to see in the world by becoming a RESULTS global poverty advocate.

RESULTS is a movement of passionate, committed everyday people. Together they use their voices to influence political decisions that will bring an end to poverty. Volunteers receive training, support, and inspiration to become skilled advocates. In time, volunteers learn to effectively advise policy makers, guiding them towards decisions that improve access to education, health, and economic opportunity. With every hour of their time, volunteers multiply their impact through the enormous power of advocacy -- whether it’s helping change policy to support millions of families putting food on the table or helping raise billions of dollars for the world’s most vulnerable children. Description
For over 40 years, RESULTS and RESULTS Educational Fund have been shining light on critical, effective solutions to poverty. By combining the powerful voices of civic advocates with research and oversight of U.S. anti-poverty efforts at home and abroad, RESULTS has been changing government priorities and people’s lives.
