RESULTS is a movement of passionate, committed everyday people. Together, we use our voices to influence political decisions that will bring an end to global poverty.
We're building a new RESULTS group in Shepherdstown to advocate on global poverty, and we're looking for passionate volunteers to join our team! RESULTS and partners already got Senator Capito of WV to cosponsor the Reach Every Mother and Child Act (video below), which will end preventable deaths of moms (300,000/yr) and kids (5,900,000/yr) by 2035!
As a RESULTS volunteer, you can help us achieve our vision of a world where every child has the same chance to survive and thrive, no matter where s/he is born, whether it's zipcode or country code. RESULTS volunteers achieve this vision through powerful advocacy, meeting face to face with members of Congress, engaging with local media, and communicating about these issues in our community.
You will receive training, support, and inspiration to become a skilled advocate. In time, volunteers learn to effectively advise policy makers, guiding them towards decisions that will improve access to education, health, and economic opportunity.
We've had big wins recently, and we have big plans for the rest of the year!

Description
For over 40 years, RESULTS and RESULTS Educational Fund have been shining light on critical, effective solutions to poverty. By combining the powerful voices of civic advocates with research and oversight of U.S. anti-poverty efforts at home and abroad, RESULTS has been changing government priorities and people’s lives.
